A mother & her 8 children were killed in a Muhlenberg County Kentucky house fire early Thursday morning, as Fox News Channel 5 in Kentucky reported.

Only the father, 36-year-old Chad Watson, and a daughter 11-year-old Kylie Watson survived the blaze.  Eight other family members were found in a master bedroom while the ninth person was found a few feet away.

“It appears that an electric baseboard heater located in a bedroom ignited some nearby combustibles,“ concluded the Kentucky State Police Investigators.

Family members killed included: 35-year-old LaRae “Nikki” Watson (the mother), 15-year-old Madison Watson, 14-year-old Kaitlyn Watson, 13-year-old Morgan Watson, 9-year-old Emily Watson, 8-year-old Samuel Watson, 6-year-old Raegan Watson and 4-year-old twin brothers Mark and Nathaniel Watson.

The surviving father & daughter were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where father Chad was listed as critical & duaghter Kylie as stable condition.
